The Golden Spike commemorative carbines were released in 1969 and numbered GS1-GS69996. This example shows all the standard markings and features of the commemorative while bearing the very first, and previously unreleased to the public, serial number "GS0". The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the carbine by model and serial number, stating that it was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.
