Description:

The action components feature traditional Germanic black leaf engraving accenting a roe buck and duck on the right and doe and game bird on the left. The rifle also features bead and notch sights, a blank inscription banner on the matted upper flat, "KRUPP" and "STAHL" on the upper side barrel flats, "BUG" proofs and "172,28/12/10/286/crown" on the bottom of the barrel along with some a small "S," "4" and "32" on the bottom of the barrel and front of the receiver, "4" also marked inside the forearm, "2" on the wedge and trigger group, Schnabel forearm with checkering on the bottom at the rear, sliding safety, double set triggers, and checkered round-knob semi-pistol grip buttstock with a prominent cheek rest and basket weave pattern buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 40% fade original blue and strong traces of casehardened finish, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, some slight oxidation, and mild overall wear. The wood is fine with a chip visible on the left side at the top of the wrist and slight crack on the right forearm flat and has smooth oiled finish, crisp checkering, and minor marks and scratches. Mechanically fine.
