Single bead sight on the matte, concave rib marked "COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA", 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor, matching serial number, doll's head rib extension, and modified/improved modified chokes. Casehardened box lock receiver with light border engraving, and patent marking on the underside with dual triggers and automatic sliding tang safety. Checkered forearm with ebony tip insert, engraved fittings, matching serial number, and pistol grip stock with blank initial oval and checkered, hard rubber Rampant Colt buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Fine. The barrels have 50% of the original Damascus pattern, some small dings, and traces of light pitting. The receiver has 60% original case colors with a silver gray patina on the balance, spotting (heavier on trigger guard), and traces of light surface pitting. The attractive wood is very fine with crisp, well-defined checkering and scattered small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
