The included factory letter confirms the serial number, barrel length, caliber, original blue finish, and January 27, 1920 date of shipment to Bronson and Townsend Company of New haven, Connecticut. The included Adams & Adams certificate confirms the serial number and states the engraving was done in 2006 with Class "D" coverage in the oak leaf style and that the current blue and casehardened finishes were applied by Turnbull restorations. Features full coverage, fine oak leaf and acorn engraving on the slide with textured punch dot backgrounds, and scalloped leafy patterns on the frame. The front grip strap is signed "J. ADAMS" just above the magazine well. With checkered, hard rubber Colt grips.

Very fine overall as master embellished by John Adams Sr. 99% deep custom blue finish, sharp engraving, vibrant case colors, and light handling marks. Grips are also very fine with just a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
