Originally manufactured in the late 1920s for police issue and later inspected for Army use. Fixed sights, with an unmarked chamber and toggle link, "crown/N" proofs on the barrel, receiver and breechblock, and "WaA66" on the right side of the receiver. Originally made with a takedown sear safety and a magazine well safety, in accordance with tradition the sear safety is present and operational, and the magazine safety is disabled (the part in question removed entirely). The front strap is marked "L.M.54.", suggesting issue to a Landesjaegeri (rural police) unit in the vicinity of Muenich or Muenster. Fitted with straw finished small parts, niter blue pins and springs, checkered grips and a magazine with a mixed numbered alloy base.

Very fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps and side plate, mild spotting, bright edge wear and light handling marks. The grips are very good, with some dents and dark spots; the left panel shows no cutout for the magazine safety and may be a replacement. Mechanically excellent.
