Charles Erb Fully Automatic Transferrable Class III/NFA British Style STEN MK IV Submachine Gun

This is a fine example of a WWII type British MK IV STEN style machine gun that was manufactured using a newly manufactured receiver (tube) from the Charles Erb Company, with some original WWII British/Canadian STEN components along with the new receiver tube as a late model MK V STEN SMG. This model used a fixed walnut buttstock with butt trap, a walnut rear pistol grip and a front walnut vertical foregrip. This model also featured a front sight and front barrel configuration so that a British bayonet could be attached. The underside of the magazine well was originally stamped with "Mk V/146830" and top is stamped with "R.F.I./FR/ M78 /1963". Some of the parts have both British and Canadian proof marks. The new receiver tube is numbered on the left rear side with "E753/9mm" followed by the Charles Erb Bullet Logo. It comes with one 30 round STEN magazine.

ConditionVery fine as remanufactured with 98% of the current parkerized finish overall showing only minor edge wear mixed with some signs of light firing. The wood components are all in very fine condition except the rear pistol grip which has two inch stress crack on the left side, which could be easily fixed. The STEN type SMGs are one of the most iconic WWII SMGs on the market and are the easiest to find accessories, spare, repair/replacement parts for. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
