This is a very good refurbished example of a Harrington & Richardson Reising Model 50 fully automatic SMG. This model of SMG saw some limited used in the early days of WWII Pacific campaign by the United States Marines as a substitute for the M1 Thompson. They were more widely used as defensive weapons for war-essential industries and then later after WWII in the hands of law enforcement agencies. The top of the receiver has the three-line Harrington-Richardson factory markings, with the fire control and serial number on the rear right side, followed by the late serial number of "90745". The short 11 inch barrel is fitted with a combination, flash hider/muzzle break with 14 cooling fins on the barrel. It has a blade front and a stamped, sheet metal four position adjustable rear sight. The breech end of the barrel is stamped with "2/PM" indicating the barrel was proofed fired and checked during assembly. It is fitted with a one-piece, walnut buttstock with a stamped sheet metal buttplate and a set of sling swivels attached to the underside of the stock. It has a unique cocking mechanism, which is actually a large hole on the underside forend where the cocking lever is located. You just reach in with your finger and cock the bolt and your ready to fire. This weapon includes two original Reising marked Model 50 20 round stick magazines and a unmarked cardboard shipping box.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 98% of the current light gray reparkerized finish overall to include the bolt assembly. Light pitting is visible under the finish. The walnut stock is also in fine condition with only a few minor handling marks.
