Manufactured from 1880 to 1884. British proofs are found on the left side of the barrel and on the cylinder between each chamber. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, barrel latch and barrel. The period partitioned presentation case has a monogrammed brass disk on the exterior of the lid and is marked with inventory number from the late Karl Moldenauer's collection.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish showing scattered handling marks. Excellent original case colors remain on the hammer, and the trigger has faded to a gray. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with a warped lid, minor handling/storage marks and some typical high spot wear on the lining.
