Smith & Wesson Model 45 .22 Military & Police Double Action Revolver with Scarce 6 Inch Barrel and Factory Letter

The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a scarce 6 inch barrel, blue finish and checkered walnut square butt grips when shipped on October 8, 1959 to Rex Firearms Co., New York City. Matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel and ejector.

ConditionFine, retaining 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is minor pitting visible mostly on the back strap and a few dings on the rear cylinder face. 90% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also fine with minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
