Manufactured in 1896 (A) and 1923 (B), these two Colt SAA revolvers feature a fine near full coverage semi-relief floral custom engraving on a stippled background and are fitted with matching engraved silver grips featuring a Native American head at the tops. The accompanying letter of provenance signed by Jacqueline Speakes of El Paso, TX lists these two SAAs by serial number as being part of a four gun collection once owned by Mexican cowboy movie actor and singer Pedro Infante that her husband John Speakes, a legal attache of the American Embassy in Mexico City, purchased in the late 1950s. The included holster rig is also mentioned in the letter. This beautiful, extensively floral tooled double holster rig features matching three gold overlaid nickel silver buckles which are marked "Ricardo." Beloved Mexican singer and actor Pedro Infante (1917-1957) has been compared to such U.S. celebrity giants such as Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart and Elvis Presley, and he is hailed as the greatest actor of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema (1930s-60s). Even decades after his untimely death Infante continues to reach generations of Mexicans, an unmatched level of stardom that has no equal rival. In fact, Disney's more recent full length animated film Coco (2017) was heavily influenced by Infante and his fellow actors from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Infante appeared in 60 films and recorded about 350 songs. Most of his films were successful at the box office. His life tragically ended on the morning of April 15, 1957 when the aircraft he was flying crashed.

Very fine overall as professionally custom embellished, retaining 99% plus of the blue finish showing limited handing evidence. Mechanically excellent. The holster rig is very fine showing minimal wear.
