Description:

Named for their association with America's airborne units, the U.S. M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine was solely made by the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors in two identified serial number blocks. "N" marked blade front and unmarked two-leaf rear sights, with an Inland barrel dated "12-43", a Type I barrel band, flat bolt, milled trigger guard, smooth button safety and a "EI" magazine catch. The stock is the low wood pattern with a "slim jim" pistol grip, brown leather cheekpad with "7/4" marked brass rivets and an oiler, and the spring-loaded buttplate with proper casting numbers on the interior. Handguard is a "four rivet style" replacement. Included with the carbine are two extra magazines, a "J.Q.M.D./1942" magazine pouch, and a "TMN" marked M4 bayonet with scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 75% of the thin parkerized finish, showing a few hints of brown patina, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The stock is very good, with some mild dings and dents, and the buttstock shows some mild pitting and looseness in the spring. The accessories are very fine, with mild wear on the bayonet. Mechanically excellent.
