The revolver butt is marked: "U.S./M.C." in two lines on one side of the lanyard loop and "No/832" below it. The serial number is marked on the inside of the crane and the frame, and the partial serial number is on the rear of the cylinder catch. The caliber designation "COLT D.A. 45" is located on the left side of the barrel. The top of the barrel is marked with the Hartford address and patent dates in two lines.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina on the barrel, mixed gray and brown patina visible on the cylinder and grip straps, and scattered light scratches and spotting overall. The grips are very good, with scattered dents, scratches and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
