U.S. Smith & Wesson Model 1917 Double Action Revolver

The revolver has "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the barrel underside, flaming ordnance bomb on the frame, eagle head inspection marks, a cylinder renumbered to gun, and matching serial numbers on the butt and barrel.

ConditionVery fine, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with the grip straps thinning to a brown and high edge and muzzle wear. A faint ring pattern is on the side plate. 95% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with a notch near the bottom (right panel) and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
