Manufactured in 1892. It has the two-line barrel address/patent dates marking, "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side of the barrel, "R.A.C." inspector marks throughout, and matching visible numbers. Standard Army and model markings on the butt and "R.A.C." cartouche on the right grip, with the left grip dated "1893". The included factory letter confirms the current configuration as well as shipment on 29 November 1893 in a 600 gun shipment to the U.S. government. Includes a correct vintage Rock Island Arsenal U.S. leather holster.
Fine, retains 80% original blue finish with the side plate refinished, the balance a mostly grey patina. The undersize, reoiled grips have some minor dings and dents and lightly visible cartouches. Mechanically excellent. The holster is good with moderate wear.
