Description:

Manufactured circa the 1930s by one of the most desirable and well-known Western spur makers, Kelly Bros. The company was started by P.M. Kelly, who made his first pair of spurs in 1903. This pair are marked "KELLY/BROS" near each lateral button. The upturned heel bands are single mounted lightly engraved nickel diamond and spade designs with gal-leg shanks single mounted in copper and nickel ending in spoked rowels. The leather straps feature Mexican coin conchos. Heel band width: 1/2" Shanks: 2 3/8" Rowel diameter: 1 1/2" Heel opening: 3".

Rating Definition:

Fine, showing mostly a smooth brown patina, age darkened copper, and bright nickel mountings with some scattered light oxidation, some areas of mild wear showing brighter grey patina, and fine leather straps with moderate wear.
