Manufactured in 1918 and subsequently masterfully embellished in 1993 by Richard Roy, who signed his work under the left grip. The pistol features nearly full coverage beautifully executed floral scroll engraving with punch dot background along with a deep relief chiseled bald eagle on top of the slide. The cast pewter grips feature floral scroll and an artistic rendition of the seal of the United States. Includes a Colt Custom Shop hardwood case.

Very fine overall as masterfully embellished by Richard Roy, showing almost entirely bright "in the white" finish with some traces of the original blue finish in sheltered areas and very minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with a few light handling/storage marks.
