Manufactured in 1986, this pistol features fine engraving, bearing the signature "J.L.Nixon" on the right side of the frame just above the serial number. Coverage is 95% plus, surrounding and protecting the standard Colt markings, chiefly scroll motifs with textured backgrounds and floral accents. The engraving on top of the side and down the front of the frame is especially dense and intricate, and all of it is deeply cut and well executed. Information on Nixon is scarce, though his work has been seen on Browning shotguns. The grips are black painted hardwood with "150" medallions. With a matching numbered maroon box and papers.

Very fine as masterfully embellished by J.L. Nixon with matte stainless finish, showing some light spotting and handling marks, and some rubbing and dings on the grips. The box is rough, with tearing and water damage, and some light staining of the contents. Mechanically excellent.
