DAMM, ELBERFELD" with 2 1/2 inch chambers, single extractor, standard German proofs on the underside with "8.8mm" and "16" bore markings and modified/full chokes. Casehardened action features fine game scene engraving of a stag on the right and a pair of hunting dogs on the left with the balance covered with fine scroll and punch dot backgrounds. The action is marked "HUBERTUS" and the upper tang is marked "TREFF" just behind the cocking indicators, both of which are Meffert trademarks. With a Roux under lever, dual triggers (front is set trigger), Greener style side safety, and tang mounted sliding selector. Checkered forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, and serrated horn buttplate. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches weight 6 lbs. 13 oz.

Very fine. 80% original blue finish remains on the barrels with some areas thinning to a slight plum, scattered surface scratches, and some light pitting around the muzzles. The action has a mostly gray patina with traces of vibrant case colors in the protected areas, some light spotting, and crisp detailed engraving. The wood is also very fine with well defined checkering and small dings and bruises throughout. Mechanically excellent.
