Designated a "sharpshooter's rifle" by the East German special police near the end of the Cold War and chambered for the Soviet 5.45x39mm cartridge. Similar in design to small bore target competition rifles. Manufactured without sights with a factory fitted Zeiss ZF4/N JENA scope numbered to the gun, adjustable trigger, free floating target crowned barrel, and detachable box magazine. Stippled hardwood target style stock with finger grooves and adjustable buttplate with spacers.
Very fine. 90% original blue finish remains with small nicks and scratches throughout and some light spotting on the receiver. The stock is also very fine with small dings overall, and handling marks mostly in the grip area. Mechanically excellent. Scope is fine with some scattered small nicks and dings, and clear optics.
