This is an outstanding, like new example of an all original, very rare 1943 dated military contract Krieghoff Luger that is complete with the two original matching magazines and a Krieghoff proofed black holster. These Krieghoff Lugers have always been highly sought after pistols based on their very low production rates and unusually high quality of the fit and finish. The Krieghoff Lugers were exclusively manufactured for the German Luftwaffe, and it is estimated that only approximately 300 were actually manufactured in 1943. The top of the chamber is correctly dated "1943", and the front toggle (which has the correct matching numbers on the underside) has a late production C-2 style Krieghoff marking that has the smaller "C" style radii anchor with the right point touching the bottom of the "K" and the left point just slightly outside of the anchor, as shown on page 83 of the "Krieghoff Parabellum" in the right column, fourth picture down. The right side of the barrel extension has the 1st "Lwa" stage II early proof next to the stage II mid-proof, and then the final acceptance proof. The underside of the barrel has the bore diameter over the "LWa2" acceptance proof over the matching serial number of "11710". The breechblock has the correct Luftwaffe acceptance proofs on each side and is correctly numbered "10" on the left side. The side plate, trigger and take down latch all have the correct matching last two digits of the serial number "10". It is fitted with the correct late production Mauser style black bakelite coarse checkered plastic grips that are unmarked on the backside. As noted, it is complete with two original "matching numbered" blued magazines. The aluminum bases are correctly stamped with an "eagle/2 Lwa" proof over serial number "11710". It is complete with an exceptionally nice, original Krieghoff proofed commercial production black Luger holster, which is correct for this model. The back, inside area of the holster is stamped with a single deep and distinctive "eagle/2" Luftwaffe acceptance proof along with an original all blued "eagle/2" Luftwaffe proofed takedown tool.

Excellent plus with 99% plus of the original blue finish. The smaller parts retain 98% plus of their attractive original straw colors showing some slight fading around the edges of the trigger and on the lower part of the safety. The grips are in excellent condition with nice sharp impress checkering overall with a couple of minor nicks from handling. The holster is in very fine condition with excellent black color overall, and nice complete stitching, and a deep, sharp proof. There is a name lightly scratched on the face of the holster. The finest, all original and totally matching 1943 dated Krieghoff Luger rig we have ever offered at auction!
