Description:

Manufactured during the Weimar Republic Era, in an approximate serial number range of 76,000-90,000, this pistol is free of the "GERMANY" stamps seen on pistols made for export to the United States suggesting this pistol was originally made for the German domestic market. Though no documentation is available, this is commonly associated with "bring-back" Lugers taken as war trophies by World War II veterans. Fixed sights, with a blank chamber, "DWM" monogrammed toggle, "crown/N" proofs on the barrel and extension, and "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the safety area and extractor. The small parts are finished in straw and niter blue, with a pair of checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with a blank hardwood base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 97% plus of the original blue finish, showing some mild edge wear and handling marks overall. The straw and niter blue colors are strong, and the lightly revarnished grips show a few mild dings. Mechanically functions, but does not retract the firing pin striker.
