Manufactured in 1944 and subsequently arsenal refurbished. The original sights are properly absent, with "R.A./1-44" on the barrel, "R" marked bolt with properly turned and contoured handle, and the properly offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. A parkerized Redfield scope base is mounted with staked screws, and the included Lyman Alaskan scope is numbered "7142" on the left side. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled serifed "P" on the wrist, "crossed cannons" and "FJA" on the left side, brown leather sling and a flat checkered steel buttplate. A pair of leather lens caps, marked "ALASKAN" on the connecting strap, are included.

Very fine, with 95% plus of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish, showing some mild scratches on the front barrel band and trigger guard, light cycling wear on the bolt, and mild handling marks overall. The stock is good as refinished, with notable open space around the band spring and the receiver, with some mild dents and scratches overall. 85% of the original blue finish is present on the scope body, with a solid reticle and crisp optics. Mechanically excellent.
