Manufactured in 1916. Blade front and folding adjustable ladder rear sights graduated to "27" with top volley notch, barrel marked "SA/flaming bomb/2-16", and standard receiver markings. With straight grip "S" stock with finger grooves high hump handguard with sighting channel, single reinforcing bolt, boxed "J.S.A." inspection cartouche, and checkered steel trapdoor buttplate with oiler. Includes "1918" dated Springfield Armory bayonet with "1907" dated Rock Island Arsenal leather sheath, and leather sling. There is a removable collection mark on the trigger guard.
