The included Colt factory letter identifies this revolver by its serial number as a Colt factory sample of the Colt John Wayne Commemorative revolver produced in 1982. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, finish, smooth grips, gold etched commemorative markings and scroll commemorative designs on the frame and barrel. Comes with a Colt "woodgrain" box (end label absent).

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue/gold inlaid finish with a few very light scratches (mostly on the cylinder). The grips are also excellent with some very scattered minor handling marks. The box is very good.
