This carbine appears to have been retained in the Winchester factory collection due to it being evidence in a liability claim. It has a sticker attached to the buttstock from a law firm that states "Note: Please deliver to Robert Reichenbach, product service dept., U.S. Repeating Arms Company. This gun is involved in a product liability claim filed by Walter Edgeworth.", making it a very interesting piece of Winchester's legal history. The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the carbine by model and serial number, stating that it was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.

Excellent, retains 99% plus original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The wood is fine with only the slightest handling marks apart from a hairline crack in the wrist and a small pen marking. Mechanically excellent.
