Colt's look-up dates it to 1868. It has a brass cone front sight, the standard hammer notch rear sight, standard patent and caliber markings, and matching serial numbers (including the grip). The case also contains a cleaning rod, oiler, L-shaped combination tool, blued Colt patent bullet mold, Eley Bros. cap tin, and James Dixon & Sons pocket flask.
