Both sides of the flask have deep repoussed arms over crossed Patterson rifles and revolvers as well as "COLTS PATENT" in a banner at the bottom. The rotating compartment lid on the top also has "COLTS/PATENT." W.A.T. inspectors marks on top. Notes with the flask note that the flask was made by John Matthewman of New Haven who also manufactured the flasks for the Colt Walkers.
