Description:

Total production of Model 1860 Army Richards conversion revolvers is estimated at approximately 9,000 in 1871-1878. The serial number on this revolver would date to 1871in the regular percussion Model 1860 Army range. It has a German silver blade front sight, hammer notch rear sight, New York barrel address, standard patent markings and cylinder scene, "C" and "44 CAL" on the left side of the trigger guard, "1456" on the loading gate, and matching visible serial numbers.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% plus original nickel plating, 40% original case colors on the hammer, wear concentrated on the cylinder and back strap, minor oxidation/pitting, and general mild wear. The refinished grip is very good and has moderate edge wear, scattered light scrapes and dings, patches of applied varnish on the right. Mechanically excellent.
