Fine Williamson Patent Breech Loading Derringer Pistol

Manufactured circa 1866-1870, with blade front and hammer notch rear sights and an engraved arrow on either side of the barrel and "WILLIAMSON'S PAT. OCT. 2. 1866 NEW YORK" on the top flat. Fitted with a silver finished frame and trigger guard and a fine walnut birds-head grip with checkered button. Included with the pistol is a reproduction percussion chamber insert.

ConditionVery fine. The barrel shows 95% of the original nickel finish, with some flaking along the edges, minor handling marks, and a set of 9 small notches on the top flat. The frame and trigger guard retain over 40% of the original silver, strongest on the trigger guard, with a well aged patina-overall. Grip is fine with a few minor dents, mild edge wear and attractive grain and color. Mechanically fine.
