Manufactured in 1901. Blue, twist pattern Damascus barrels with a matte rib marked with the two-line "-REMINGTON ARMS CO.-/-ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.-" address, doll's head rib extension, chambers measured at 2 3/4 inches, single extractor, and standard markings on the flats. Casehardened receiver and lock plates with 75% coverage fine floral and scroll engraving, standard maker's marks on the locks, and matching engraved trigger guard, hammers, and tangs. Checkered, walnut pistol grip stock with splinter forearm, Deeley type latch, engraved fittings, and checkered hard rubber Remington butt plate.

Very fine. The barrels have 85% thinning original twist finish with some scattered light spotting, scratches, and dings on the rib. The action and locks have 40% original vibrant case colors with a mottled brown/gray patina on the balance, well defined engraving, and a mostly gray patina on the trigger guard. The wood is fine with a freshened coat of varnish, small dings, and some larger scratches on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
