Exceptionally Rare World War II Quality Hardware Serial Number 9 Presentation Grade Semi-Automatic M1 Carbine

This is a beautiful like new, original Quality Hardware Presentation Grade U.S. M1 Carbine serial number 9. There were approximately 25 of these Presentation Grade M1 carbines actually produced during WWII all were serial numbered 1-25. This beautiful carbine has an all original brush blue metal finish with a beautiful, straight grain walnut stock and handguard set. These were all manufactured at the end of production probably circa late 1944 early 1945 and in most cases using earlier left contract over parts. They were intended to be presented to senior company officials as well as senior U.S. Army officials. It has a Type 1, Variation B receiver that has the one hole on the right side and the detachable recoil spring tube. It has the standard U.S. M1 Carbine markings on the front receiver ring with the heel marked "Q-EX/9". It is fitted with one of the subcontract "ROCK-OLA" marked barrels with no other markings. The various parts are marked as follows: bolt "EM-Q", trigger housing: "NL-Q", hammer: "LT-Q", slide: "DA-Q", flip rear sight: "QE-Q", and is fitted with a beautiful early, two-rivet handguard and a early high wood, oval cut walnut stock; both are correctly stamped with a boxed "Q-RMC" proof/cartouche. It has the second type barrel band, an unmarked push button safety, and M1 carbine magazine release. Also included with this beautiful carbine is a green web sling. Magazine absent.

ConditionExcellent, retains 99% of its original presentation grade factory blued finish overall with a hint of blue loss on the receiver side rail from hand cycling the action. The stock and handguard are also both in excellent condition with a matching medium brown oil finish overall and only a very small chip on the middle underside of he forend. These Quality Hardware presentation Grade M1 Carbines are exceptionally rare with very few having been seen for sale!
