A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Features blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, ground mum on the receiver, "441" assembly numbered takedown hardware, smooth pistol grip stock with cupped buttplate, and the matching partial serial number "990" on the bayonet lug, barrel and bolt components (minus the reproduction dust cover, extractor and firing pin). Fitted with a reproduction brown leather sling and a full sized Kokura Arsenal bayonet, 20 inches overall with a 15 3/4 inch blade, hooked guard, smooth grip, metal sheath and leather frog.

Fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting and wear overall. The refinished stock is very good, with some mild dings and dents. Mild spotting is present on the bayonet blade, with a mixed brown patina and spotting on the hilt and some mild chips and dents on the grip. The safety is stiff, otherwise mechanically very good.
