One of the rarest of the Winchester "commemoratives". Serial number 1 of only 32 manufactured for use in filming a documentary for the 1973 centennial of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Its only non-standard marking is the "M.P" cartouche on the right side of the buttstock. These were intended less as a commemorative and more to resemble as closely as possible the Model 1876 carbines purchased by the Northwest Mounted Police in the late 1800s. Other RCMP commemoratives released the same year were loosely based on these, but differed in their finish and embellishment.

Excellent, retains 98% plus original blue finish with a few scattered scratches and light handling marks. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
