Manufactured in 1913. Marble No. 2 front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel with the two-line address/patent date marking and "25-20 W.C.F." on the left flat. Winchester factory oval proofs are present. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. The special order smooth walnut pistol grip stock has a Winchester hard rubber grip cap and a crescent buttplate. The assembly number "2582" is marked on the left side of the lower tang and on the buttstock under the buttplate.

Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish with thinning and some areas of brown patina on the balance. There are a couple patches of pitting on the barrel. 40% original case colors remain on the hammer and lever. The wood is very fine with a sliver at the lower tang and minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A highly attractive Model 1892 rifle with special order pistol grip stock that is worthy of any Winchester collection.
