U.S. Army Contract Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver

Manufactured in 1857 on contract for the U.S. Army. It has the brass cone front sight, "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY-" on the top of the barrel, "COLTS/PATENT/U.S." marked frame, standard navy battle cylinder scene, small inspection marks, "CGC" and "R.H.K.W." cartouches on the grip, and matching serial numbers including the grip. Includes a later production Colt DA revolver brown leather flap holster with "NY" in an oval embossed on the main body.

ConditionGood with gray and brown patina and moderate oxidation, aged patina on the brass, mostly distinct markings, and wear mostly from age and storage. The grip is fine other than the chip at the toe on the left and has some light scratches and pressure marks. The cartouches are both very fine and clearly legible. Mechanically fine. The holster is fair and has mild rub wear and surface flaking.
