This is a beautiful, original, Quality Hardware presentation grade U.S. M1 Carbine that was originally made without a serial number. We have had the opportunity to sell a couple of these rare late WWII presentation grade M1 carbines in the past with each one being a little different. They were all intended as gifts for Senior management/company officials, high ranking officers, or senior civilian employees as a token of appreciation for the work that was performed during the war. This beautiful carbine has an all original war time green parkerized finish with a beautiful, super highly figured walnut stock and handguard set. These were all manufactured at the end of production probably circa late 1944-early 1945 and in most cases using earlier left over contract over parts. It has the standard M1 Carbine markings on the front receiver ring with the heel marked with only "QUALITY H.M.C.", with no serial number as noted. This example does have the correct, type 1, variation B receiver that has the one hole on the right side, with the detachable recoil spring tube. Interestingly it is fitted with an Inland Div/General Motors/1-44 marked barrel with no other markings. The various parts are marked as follows: bolt "EM-Q, trigger housing": NL-Q, "hammer: LT-Q, slide": DA-Q, "flip Rear Sight": GE-Q. It is fitted with a beautiful early, two-rivet handguard and a early high wood, oval cut walnut stock, both are unmarked as they were hand selected for color and figure. It has the second type barrel band with an unmarked push button safety and unmarked, smooth face M1 carbine magazine release. Includes an early pea green web sling and blued magazine with a "UQ" on the spine.

Excellent with 98% plus of the original war time parkerized finish on all the metal parts, with slight slide retraction wear visible. The stock and handguard are both excellent. Mechanically excellent. This is a really super high condition, very rare WWII Quality Hardware Presentation grade M1 Carbine.
