Description:

Blade and peep sights, with the former marked "NM/062" and the latter marked "NM" on the staff, "NM/2A" on the right ear, "595" on the peep hood, "NM BME" on the windage drum and "NI-C" on the elevation drum. The left side of the barrel, underside of the gas cylinder and top of the operating rod are marked "NM", with a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, operating rod, and a Springfield "3 63" dated barrel with "TPM" and "DoD Eagle" stamps on the chamber. A matching serial number has been applied in white pencil to the operating rod channel and the magazine floorplate. The stock is lightly glass bedded, with "DoD" and "P" stamps on the exterior, and a checkered steel trapdoor buttplate. The buttstock has had rifle club and CMP stickers attached to it. DCM bill of transfer listing this as one of ten rifles sold by serial number, and a copy of the Spring 2017 issue of the Garand Collector's Association magazine. The rifle is also identified by serial number in the included article copy.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% plus original parkerized finish, light edge wear on the charging handle, small surface scratches and nicks, and handling marks. The stock is very fine with small dings throughout, attached stickers, and edge wear on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
