This is one of 839 Registered Magnums manufactured with 6 inch barrels. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 6 inch barrel, Patridge front sight, square notch rear sight, blue finish, checkered walnut grips with grip adaptor (absent) and an extra pair of Magna grips (absent) when shipped on August 19, 1936, and delivered to Raymond R. O'Connor of Long Island City, New York. The current humpback hammer was not on the revolver when it originally shipped. "REG. 1322" stamped on the inside of the frame, right grip panel numbered to a different revolver, and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, and ejector shroud. The correct period replacement box is numbered to a different revolver.
