Box Lock action with ball fences and side clips and fine scroll engraved. Checkered pistol grip stock and splinter forearm, Anson style push button latch, engraved fittings, and solid rubber recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter at 9 inches from breech reproofed at 18.4mm/18.5mm (.724/.728) and measured at .733/.734; chokes proofed at 17.6mm/17.6mm (.693) and measured at .004/.008; minimum wall thickness .030/.028; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches; weight 7 lbs 7 oz.

Fine. The barrels have 95% plus period refinished blue with traces of mild pitting, legible though light barrel markings, some minor edge wear, and small surface scratches. The chokes have been opened as described. The receiver has a mostly gray patina with traces of original case colors in the protected areas, well-defined engraving, some darker spotting, and repaired safety switch. The action is slightly off face. The wood is also fine with well-defined checkering, small dings, evidence of light sanding and freshened varnish, and added recoil pad. Mechanically fine.
