This high art rifle is built on a Winchester Model 70 receiver that dates to 1952 and features an exquisite African big game theme embellishment by a master artisan. Profuse scrollwork accented with gold inlaid scroll borders adorns the major components. Relief engraved floral scroll motif overlays are on the bolt handle, floorplate, and trigger guard. There are highly detailed, highly attractive relief engraved African big game overlays in gold: Cape, buffalo, rhino and lion's head. The extractor and follower are jeweled. The modern Model 70 Super Grade barrel has a ramped beaded blade front sight and quarter rib with a three leaf express rear sight with "50", "100", and "200" graduations, cross hatching engraved patterns and gold sight lines. The highly figured pistol grip stock features fine multi-point checkering, ebony forend cap, right handed cheekpiece, and checkered bare butt with skeletonized buttplate.
