Front sight is marked "NM/062", rear marked "595" on the peep, "NM" on the shank and windage knob, "NM/2A" on the right side base, with "NM" marked barrel, gas tube and operating rod, Springfield "3-63" dated barrel with "inverted T", "PM" and "DoD eagle" markings, matching partial numbers inside the floor plate and inside the stock barrel channel, Springfield bolt, safety, hammer and trigger housing and "7790722-RA" operating rod. The stock is fiberglass bedded, with glued front handguard, Department of Defense stamp on the left side, circled "P" with serifs on the pistol grip, checkered buttplate and a brown leather sling. With a CMP letter, which identifies the rifle by serial number as having been sold through the Director of Civilian Marksmanship in November of 1969 as a National Match rifle.
