Manufactured post-World War II in the 3rd of four Springfield-assigned blocks of Garand rifles. Blade front and peep rear sights, with "DRC" and "NI-C" drums, a Springfield "3 54" barrel, "SA" bolt, trigger housing, hammer and relief cut operating rod, and a "MXR" safety. Smooth pistol grip stock with a leather sling and steel buttplate. Included with the lot is a M5-A1 bayonet, M8A1 sheath, padded soft case, cleaning rod in sealed box, a matching numbered CMP release form and manual.
