This is an excellent example of a M1927A1 Thompson semi-automatic as manufactured by the Auto-Ordnance Corp. in West Hurley, NY. This weapon was properly registered and converted to a "Short Barreled Rifle", (SBR/Class III). Originally these were produced as copies of the original M1927/28 Thompson SMGs only in semi-automatic with a 16 inch barrel. As noted currently it has had a correct 10.5 inch finned barrel installed with the Cutts type flash hider properly installed. It has the standard Auto-Ordnance markings on both sides of the receiver with the left side marked "MODEL OF 1927A1". It has the correct style fixed front sight and folding adjustable rear sight, vertical walnut forearm, pistol grip and detachable buttstock. It comes with one 50 round "L" type drum magazines and a black plastic "Thompson" marked storage/carrying case.

Excellent with 98% of the blue finish overall showing no evidence of having been fired. The walnut wood components are all in excellent condition. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
