Description:

This is an excellent example of the earlier Swiss K31/42 sniper rifle. These early snipers were all based on the excellent and very well designed standard K31 service rifle that was fitted with a side mounted, 1.8 X permanently attached, sniper scope. The interesting aspect of these scopes is that they used a folding periscope type front objective head that rotates down on to the side of the stock for protection during transport. The scope has the standard Swiss inverted "v" reticle. It was fitted with a standard barrel with a blade front sight with sight protectors, and the rear tangent sight is calibrated 1-15 (100-1,500 meters). The top of the receiver is marked with the Swiss Cross in a shield, and the serial number (450355) marked on the left side of the receiver. It is fitted with the standard walnut stock and handguard with short finger grooves on the sides of the stock. The buttstock has a small Swiss Cross proof on the right side, and it is fitted with a smooth flat buttplate and side mounted sling swivels. It is complete with a matching magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of its original matte blue finish overall with wear on the edge and high spots overall. The bolt assembly is still in the white as original manufactured. Optics are a bit hazy but otherwise good The stock and handguards are also in excellent condition with minimal handling marks on the sides.
