This is a 1917 dated, World War I German DWM manufactured artillery Luger pistol with a walnut board shoulder stock, leather double magazine pouch and drum magazine with cover. The chamber is dated 1917 with the standard DWM marked front toggle assembly. The right side of the barrel extension has the German Imperial Army three "Crown/Gothic" letter test and acceptance proofs. It has the 8-inch Artillery length barrel, with a fully adjustable rear sight graduated 1-8 (100-800 meters) and the inverted "v" front sight, both have the fine tune type adjustments. The full military style serial numbering (8892) is stamped on the face of the frame, underside of the barrel and barrel extension. The various smaller parts have the last two digits "92" of the serial number. The frame and extractor are respectively marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". The flat board shoulder stock is stamped with a nonmatching serial number on top of the attaching iron with "GERMANY" stamped on right side of the shoulder strap cutout area. The wooden base of the magazine is stamped with only the matching serial number and no other proof marks. This lot includes a second pattern Bing company drum magazine with a sheet metal cover. The bottom of the drum has the correct "B/N" factory proof mark. Also included is a brown leather double magazine pouch (with no extra magazines) that is stamped on the front "REINHOLO KUHN/1916/GRIMMA" and a wooden handle steel cleaning rod. It has the standard blue metal finish, straw colored smaller components with checkered walnut grip.
