Dated "1939" over the chamber and marked "S/42" on the top of the toggle. Two "eagle/63" proofs and the spread winged eagle firing proof appear on the right side of the chamber, with the latter also appearing on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. The upper safety area and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively, with a full blue finish and checkered grips. Except for the left grip panel, serial numbers are matching overall, including the blue finished alloy base magazine. The grips have a number of faint pencil markings (green on the left, black on the right) on the interior, which appear to be the name and address of a resident of Helena, Montana.

Excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, showing bright edge wear, a plum tone patina on some components, areas of gray patina, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent, with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.
