Fine Waffen-SS "Oak Leaf A" Pattern Winter Camouflage Uniform

Consisting of a parka and trousers, both items are constructed form thick, multi-layered cloth and are reversible, with one side faced in spring color "Oak Leaf A" pattern camouflage, the reverse in white. Developed and introduced for the winter of 1942/1943, the winter smock was a direct response to experiences on the Eastern Front, and further refined in 1943/1944 with the addition of camouflage. The tunic is outfitted with a set of gray metal buttons for the "spring" side and cream-colored pressed board buttons for the "snow" side, with adjustable cuffs, a drawstring waist, and a large hood designed to fit over a combat helmet. The white side is ink stamped with a "2" just below the hood. The trousers are of similar construction, with broad "wind flap" pattern fly and rayon cord adjustments. By design, some buttons on the "spring" side are not reproduced on the "snow" side, such as the suspender buttons.

ConditionVery good, with some wear on the buttons and button thread, and mild staining, particularly on the white side (a common result of field use).
