Developed in the 1990s as an evolution of AI's Precision Marksman Rifle which replaced the aging Lee-Enfield derived L42A1 military sniper rifle. With a free floated 1 in 12 twist, heavyweight barrel, single chamber muzzle brake, post front sight, British Army type acceptance proofs of a "crown/GP" and "NP" nitro proofs on the receiver and barrel. Originally imported by and so marked "IMPORTED BY GUNSITE PAULDEN AZ" marking on top of the barrel, solid milled action with integral scope rail on top, commercial Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50 scope, polished bolt body, three-position Model 70 style safety toggle, detachable box magazine, and adjustable trigger. Fitted with the Accuracy International polymer thumbhole stock with attached folding adjustable bipod, multiple sling mount points, and solid rubber recoil pad with spacers. The numbers on the bolt body, shroud, and front sight base are all matching. With fitted, green painted steel storage case with four extra magazines, matching numbered rear peep sight, cleaning tools, extra butt spacers, extended sun shade for scope, nylon web sling, and assorted tools.
