Manufactured by Charles Ibbotson & Co. of Sheffield, England, likely in the 19th century. The overall length is 12 7/8 inches with a 7 5/8 inch blade. The blade retains faint traces of what appears to be floral pattern etching and a phrase which ends in "IN HONOR". The left ricasso is marked "SLASH/CHARLES/IBBOTSON&Co/SHEFFIELD". The one-piece guard and grip is German silver with intricate beaded floral motifs and pearl scale inserts, the left scale being incised with the monogram "KG" in black enamel. The sheath is of leather construction with blue and red decorative leather bands at the top and bottom and a black maltese cross on the back.
