Manufactured in 1908 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on both the octagonal barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with German silver dovetailed blade front and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sights. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Fine, retains 60% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth grey patina concentrated mainly on edges and high spots. 40% original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. The wood is very good with numerous light dings and scratches scattered throughout, a short hairline crack in the top of the wrist, and retaining half of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
